Terrorist attacks in several European cities have shown that international cooperation in investigative work is of vital importance. But other areas within the response pose similar huge challenges; the immediate support of victims and the bereaved, but also the planning of rituals and memorials and the longterm aftercare after terrorist attacks require international mutual harmonisation. First responder, psychosocial measures and peer support are absolutely necessary after these major incidents. The reciprocal concerta- tion in setting up immediate support, victim support, crisis communication and aftercare challenges current political networks, requiring a closer cooperation of police and security organisations, justice systems and victim support organisations.
We invite you to this conference in the Thomas-Mo- rus-Academy in Bensberg. The conference languages will be German and English (in Ear-translation).
