LETTER OF INVITATION TO THE 2ND IAGP INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH CONGRESS
Dear Colleague,
I am very pleased to announce to you the 2nd IAGP Research International Conference on “TRAUMA AND CRISIS”,which will be held in THESSALONIKI, on 14-17 June 2019, at the Mediterranean Palace Hotel.
The Conference will be established, assigned and organized by the International Association for Group Psychotherapy and Group Processes (IAGP).It is addressed to Medical doctors, psychotherapists (individual therapists/group therapists), psychiatrists, neurologists and physicians of all specialties who promote and foster research, to nurses and caregivers.
It also applies and expands to all IAGP specialties, such as researchers, managers, psychologists in Organizations and social workers.
The conference aims at presenting research and study findings of particular interest, as well as bridging the gap among Psychotherapy, Research, Medical specialties and Social Sciences.The conference will be attended, not only by Greeks, but also by distinguished researchers andeminent scientists from worldwide reputable Universities, such as :
Prof Richard Beck (USA), Prof Christer Sandahl (Karolinska University, Sweden), Dr. Earl Hopper (UK), Prof.Ivan Urlic (Croatia), Prof Michael Weiser (Austria), Prof Haim Weinberg (Israel, USA), Prof Mona Rakhawy (Egypt), Marianne Wiktorin (Sweden) .The key-note speakers of the Morning Plenary Sessions are Prof Molyn Leszcz, Mount Sinai Hospital (Canada/USA), Prof Hidefumi Cotani (Japan), Prof Magda Tsolaki (University of Thessaloniki, Greece) and from the USA Prof. Richard Beck, the IAGP President.
The Conference object is anticipated to be particularly interesting since it is innovative and introduces a new dimension in the fields of Research, Clinical Medicine and Social Sciences. The Trauma and Crisis topic will be approached from many points of view, like the Clinical: trauma and stress related disorders, PTSD,depression, mild cognitive impairment, dementia, pseudo-dementia, chronic stress , The Psychotherpeutic and the Humanistic point of view.
